A Staff Shortage in Adult Social Care

There is currently a crisis in Adult Social Care – a record number of people need care but there are not enough carers to cope with the demand. 

One of the main problems that our industry faces is that this has been a problem for many years, and so this crisis does not hit the headlines as much as it should.

Home Care

We make sure we celebrate the achievements of all our staff – every week we celebrate an Employee of the Week. They are nominated by their colleagues and will receive a Butterfly Award to say thanks for their hard work, dedication and for going the ‘Extra Mile.’ We recently celebrated one of our Live-in carers who helped their client to fully recover from delirium. 

We also celebrate work anniversaries, and we give out a ‘Certificate of Recognition’ to staff who reach a length of service milestone – as well as being awarded a certificate we also give out a special Abicare pin badge and a little monetary bonus in your salary!
