Understanding Live-in care costs
There is a huge range of benefits to Live-in care. Not only is it often a more cost-effective alternative to a care home, but you or your loved one will receive high-quality one-to-one Live-in care from our carefully selected carers in the comfort of their own home. Our Live-in carers are trusted, fully vetted, highly trained and experienced, giving us and yourselves full reassurance that your loved one is safe, cared for and overall happy.
Having a Live-in carer means that you or your loved one can stay at home for as long as possible, giving you peace of mind and reassurance.
The benefits of Live-in care include:
- Staying in your own home, surrounded by your cherished memories and pets
- Providing peace of mind for you and your family
- Allowing you to continue to live in your local community
- Ongoing companionship
- One-to-one care
- Live life your way
- Keep your life as independent as possible
Your Live-in care costs are decided through your Live-in care assessment and your financial assessment with NHS funding. The price of your Live-in care is determined by the level of care you need and the level of expertise your live-in carer will need to take care of you or your loved one. This can be done before or after the financial assessment and can be connected to the team dealing with how much financial support you might need.
Types of care costs
Live-in care costs are dependent on the level of care needed, but there are two ways to pay for your Live-in care:
Self-funded care Live-in care costs
Self-funded / private care – You will fund the cost of your care.
State-funded / social services fuState-funded care Live-in care costs / Local council funded Live-in care costs
Your care will be paid for by the Government, the local council, local authorities or social services. A financial assessment will be conducted to check that you are eligible to receive state-funded care.
Partially-funded Live-in care costs / Self-funded and State-funded Live-in care costs
A financial assessment will determine what you are eligible to receive state-funded Live-in care, then the rest will be privately-funded live-in care.
