Collection locationsFor many people Christmas is about family, laughter and companionship, but for many older and vulnerable people it can be a time of isolation and loneliness. There are almost a million older people who feel lonelier at Christmas, many of whom have been widowed- which is why we want to make a real difference and help “Fill a Stocking for a Senior.”
How it works
With your help we can make Christmas just a little bit brighter
Donate a small gift at one of our offices or collection campaign events.
We will wrap the gifts with the help of local schools and local communities.
We will distribute your gifts to elderly and vulnerable adults in the UK.
Previous Years
In December 2018 we launched our Fill a Stocking for a Senior campaign in Salisbury. It was such a great success (we delivered over 150 presents) that we held four events in 2019 in Reading, Bournemouth, Salisbury and Andover. Unfortunately, Covid meant that we couldn’t do our annual campaign in 2020 & 2021, but we were pleased to resume the campaign in 2022, and it was a huge success!
The gifts we received were distributed to elderly and vulnerable adults around the UK, including some Abicare clients, residents of the Salisbury Trust for the Homeless, and other individuals nominated by local food banks, charities and the general public.
