Gemma joined Abicare in 2020 as a Recruitment Coordinator – Part of her role is to conduct telephone interviews, set up interviews, obtain references, check identity documentation, support with DBS applications, arrange the appropriate level of training and issue joining paperwork, whilst providing candidates with an efficient and pleasant onboarding experience. 

Gemma also has a current CIPD Associate Membership (Chartered Institute of Personnel and Development.)

Her previous experience in the care sector aids her ability to support new starters throughout their joining process, and she has a desire to provide methodical and timely support in relation to any new recruitment and HR initiatives and current practices.

When she’s not working, Gemma enjoys playing netball every week for fun, fitness and friendship.
