Abicare

Anne-Marie is Abicare’s founder and Chair, with over 30 years of experience in the care industry. 

After a fun year of teaching, she started a family Care Home and ran that for 20 years. The home was eventually sold, so she set out on her own to run a Domiciliary care service in Wiltshire.  That grew organically over the next 10 years to 12 offices and 12000 hours.  

We have since reviewed the business to be able to improve our care delivery and add Live-in to our service lines.

In the last few years Anne-Marie has drawn on her varied experience to date, as Abicare has been instrumental in helping the NHS with an innovative solution, providing Care Hotels to alleviate hospital pressures.

Anne-Marie loves a challenge and is constantly thinking about how we can improve social care in the UK.  She is proud to have a great team and is excited for the future and what it holds.

Anne-Marie is married and has 4 adult children, 4 dogs and 2 cats! She loves a full house, welcoming all and sundry to a shared meal, some good wine and great conversation.  

She also loves sport and plays a variety of team sports as well as being a not so keen runner and cyclist- but she knows it’s good for her!
